Education needs to be used as a powerful instrument to transform society
Lucknow, : There are moments when we feel that it is high time we used education as a powerful instrument for changing the society', said Founder of the City Montessori School and educationist Dr. Jagdish Gandhi while addressing the parents present at the 'Divine Education Conference' taking place at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium today. He added that the only way to bring down the high illiteracy rate is by spreading the message of peace and unity.
Divine Education Conference at CMS Kanpur Road campus concluded in a grand fashion. Devotional songs presented by school students left the audience
awestruck. The children sang songs of peace and unity and filled the school hall with Divine music and symphony. They pledged to uphold the high ideals of the institution and follow the teachings of the school - universal values, global understanding, excellence in all things and service to the world. Students who secured top positions in their annual examinations and in various competitions were acknowledged and felicitated by the CMS Founder, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi. Speaking at the function, the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Vineeta Kamran stated that lack of quality education results in a corrupt society and good education will always result in a good society.
