Warm Welcome accorded to CMS Delegation on return after representing India in Japan
Lucknow, A delegation of City Montessori School comprising Ms. Susmita Basu,
Head, CMS Quality Assurance and Innovation Department and Ms. Reena Soti,
Principal, CMS Anand Nagar Campus, returned to India today after attending the
Asia Pacific Regional Conference held in Japan. On their return to India, the
delegates were given a very warm welcome back home with flower garlands by CMS
teachers at the Amausi Airport, Lucknow. CMS Founder Dr. Jagdish Gandhi was
also present at this occasion. Mr. Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations
Officer of CMS informed that Asia Pacific Regional Conference was held from 18
to 23 March in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, in which representatives from
more than 16 countries participated. The Conference aimed at strengthening the
activities of Children's International Summer Village Camp (CISV) held in
various countries every year and promoting inter-cultural and international
understanding among the students of various nations. Mr. Sharma stated that City
Montessori School has continuously been hosting the month long CISV camp
(International Children's Camps) for the past 22 years and the CMS delegation
had been specially invited to participate in this conference for their
experience in organizing CISV camps successfully. Mr. Sharma informed that this conference
was a wonderful opportunity to share ideas and knowledge, and strengthen the
efforts in the Asia Pacific Region. The forum gave the participants an
opportunity to learn and understand the importance of international
cooperation, collaboration and sharing of ideas. Since CMS has been hosting
CISV Camps and sending students' delegations to attend such camps across the
globe for the past 22 years, this international conference was a new experience
for each participant and encouraged a close and positive working relationship among
them.
